Bangladesh Police have officially launched a comprehensive training program focused on skill and capacity enhancement for police members. The initiative is specifically designed to ensure that law enforcement personnel are fully prepared to perform their electoral duties in a professional manner during the upcoming local government elections.

The inauguration of this crucial program took place on Wednesday morning at the Hall of Integrity within the Police Headquarters located in Dhaka. The formal opening ceremony was presided over by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir, who inaugurated the statewide sessions.

Following the official launch, a two-day training program commenced across 114 designated training venues situated throughout the country. Organizers confirmed that a total of 38,847 police members are participating in this extensive capacity-building initiative.

Focusing on the immediate implementation phase, authorities noted that the first batch of the program currently accommodates 4,965 trainees. These participants are undergoing the specialized instruction concurrently at the nationwide venues established for this purpose.

This new electoral training builds upon previous preparations undertaken by the force. In connection with the 13th national parliamentary election, Bangladesh Police previously provided electoral training to 152,175 police members, who are also scheduled to receive a one-day refresher training course.
