Bangladesh Opens Class 11 Admissions for 2026-27 Academic Year

Online application procedures for admission into class 11 for the 2026-27 academic year officially commenced last Wednesday across Bangladesh. Prospective students seeking to enroll in higher secondary education must complete their online submissions by the final deadline of September 10, 2026, according to the announced schedule.

Following the conclusion of the application window and subsequent administrative procedures, the admission process will be finalized to allow academic instruction to begin promptly. Educational institutions across the country are scheduled to officially start classes for the incoming class 11 students on September 23.

Under the established guidelines for the 2026-27 academic session, applicants are required to follow specific parameters regarding their college choices. Each student is permitted to apply to a minimum of 5 colleges or equivalent educational institutions, while the maximum number of choices allowed is capped at 10 institutions.

To process these online applications, candidates are required to pay an application fee of 220 taka. The administrative framework governing these admissions dictates that no entrance examinations or specialized screening tests will be conducted by institutions; instead, selections will be made exclusively based on the applicants' results from the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

Regarding seat allocation for the upcoming academic year, a specific policy has been implemented to balance merit and reserved categories. A total of 7 percent of the available seats in class 11 have been designated for quota allocations, while the remaining 93 percent of seats will remain entirely open and distributed purely on the basis of academic merit.
