Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Expresses Concern Over Rangpur Murders

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has formally expressed profound concern regarding the recent deterioration of the law and order situation across the country, highlighting a devastating multiple homicide that recently came to light in the northern region.

The expression of concern follows the grim discovery of four bodies inside a residential house located in the Mashuyapara area of Rangpur city. Local authorities and sources confirmed that the deceased individuals include Ganapati Chakraborty, a former teacher at Rangpur Zila School, along with his wife and their two children.

According to the details emerging from the investigation into this horrific event, the victims have been identified as Ganapati Chakraborty, Prritilata Chakraborty, Priyom Chakraborty, and Agami Chakraborty. Initial findings from the scene indicate that all four family members were brutally murdered by means of strangulation.

Addressing the broader national implications of this tragedy, Dr Shafiqur Rahman strongly condemned the killings and the general decline in public safety and security. Emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the failure of protective governance, the political leader explicitly stated that the Home Minister must take responsibility for these fatal security lapses.
