Bangladesh Issues New Rules for Ministers' Official Travel Expenses

The Cabinet Division of Bangladesh has officially introduced a fresh set of instructions regarding the submission of travel expense bills and the allocation of funds for ministers, state ministers, and deputy ministers. This administrative development aims to streamline the financial procedures concerning official travels undertaken by high-ranking government officials across the country.

According to the official records, the circular containing these new directives was formally issued on the 3rd of September. The implementation of this policy marks a structured effort to ensure greater transparency and accountability in the management of public funds utilized for ministerial journeys and official state tours.

The newly promulgated circular stipulates a total of seven mandatory requirements that must be strictly followed by the concerned offices. Among these core stipulations, officials are now strictly required to attach all necessary supporting evidence and documentation alongside their official travel expense bills. Additionally, the guidelines mandate the timely adjustment of any financial advances taken for travel purposes.

Furthermore, the administrative instructions dictate that all relevant travel bills must be submitted in three complete sets to comply with the updated bureaucratic protocol. These comprehensive measures are designed to eliminate discrepancies and ensure that every expenditure related to ministerial travel is thoroughly documented and properly audited according to standard government practices.
