Bangladesh Extends Online Application Deadline for Class 11 Admissions
Bangladesh has extended the online application deadline for class 11 admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students can now submit their applications until 8 PM on September 13.

The authorities in Bangladesh have officially announced an extension of the online application timeline for higher secondary admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to the updated schedule, prospective students now have until September 13 at 8:00 PM to submit their applications through the designated online system.
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of 220 taka. Through the application process, students are permitted to apply to a minimum of five and a maximum of ten colleges or equivalent educational institutions.
Regarding the admission criteria, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and related authorities confirmed that there will be no selection tests or formal admission examinations. Instead, selections will be determined strictly based on the results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations.
Following the conclusion of the application window, the results for the selected students are scheduled to be published on September 17 at 8:00 PM. Students who are selected must complete their admission confirmation by September 19 at 8:00 PM.
Looking further into the distribution of seats for the academic term, a specific portion of the available positions has been set aside for quotas. Seven percent of the total seats in class 11 admissions have been allocated for quota provisions, while the remaining 93 percent will remain completely open for all applicants based strictly on merit.
Within the allocated seven percent quota framework, five percent is designated specifically for the children of freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters. Additionally, two percent of the seats have been proposed for reservation to accommodate the children of officials and employees working under the Ministry of Education and its subordinate departments and agencies.
The entire admission process, encompassing all procedural steps and verifications, is slated to conclude in time for academic instruction to commence on September 23. This schedule is managed alongside various educational institutions, including the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, the Technical Education Board, the Bangladesh Open University, and the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
