Bangladesh Association of Radiology and Imaging Technologists Holds Conference

The Bangladesh Association of Radiology and Imaging Technologists has officially commenced its 17th National Conference and Scientific Seminar-2026 at the National Museum of Science and Technology Complex in Dhaka. The significant two-day event, which runs on August 27 and August 28, serves as a crucial gathering for professionals dedicated to the fields of radiology and imaging technology across the country.

During the proceedings, prominent figures took part in the scientific seminar and conference discussions. Among the notable attendees and speakers listed for the event are Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, who also serves as the Health Affairs Secretary of the BNP, along with Professor Dr. Shah Alam Talukdar, Professor Humayun Kabir, Mohanlal Bhagwat, Pavuprakash Pimalsina, and Professor Dr. Napapong Pongnapang.

A central focus of the conference discussions centered on the professional welfare and advancement of practitioners currently working within the sector. Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam emphasized the critical need for the rapid recruitment, expanded employment opportunities, and the broader extension of higher education facilities for radiology technologists working throughout the nation.

Statistical context highlighted during the sessions reveals that there are approximately 12,000 radiology technologists working across Bangladesh. Addressing broader healthcare staffing needs, discussions also noted that the government has already undertaken plans to recruit approximately one hundred thousand health workers in total.
