Bakhrabad Gas Cuts 30 Illegal Connections in Brahmanbaria Drive

Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Limited launched a comprehensive crackdown targeting unauthorized energy use in the Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila area. The enforcement operation focused on rooting out illegal utility networks that have circumvented official distribution channels in the region.

During the targeted sweep in the Uttar Suhilpur area, teams from the utility provider systematically dismantled and deactivated a total of thirty illegal gas connection risers. This intervention was designed to halt unauthorized consumption and secure the integrity of the regional distribution infrastructure.

Executive Magistrate Prince Sarkar presided over the mobile court proceedings that accompanied the field operation. His presence ensured that legal measures were swiftly enforced against individuals and entities found to be operating unauthorized connections.

As part of the physical dismantling process, operational crews cut eight distinct risers and successfully recovered fifteen gas regulators from the site. Furthermore, workers excavated and removed seven hundred thirty-one meters of illegal gas pipelines measuring three-fourths of an inch in diameter, alongside the neutralization of approximately four hundred meters of unauthorized gas network infrastructure.

In addition to the physical removal of equipment, the mobile court penalized five individuals found culpable of establishing illegal gas connections. The presiding magistrate levied a combined total of one hundred five thousand taka in fines against the offenders as a deterrent against future utility theft.
