61 deaths in one year
With the death of two new individuals, the number of dengue fatalities in the country has risen to 61 in 2024. During the same period this year, a total of 19,345 people have sought treatment in various hospitals due to dengue.

Caution needed to control infection
The risk of dengue increases as the spread of Aedes mosquitoes rises during the monsoon season. Therefore, authorities are emphasizing the importance of quickly removing stagnant water from homes and surrounding areas, as well as destroying mosquito breeding sites.
If symptoms such as fever, body aches, headache, pain behind the eyes, or other symptoms appear, it is essential to consult a doctor without negligence. The severity of dengue can vary from person to person and over time.
The latest statistics from the DGHS show that dengue infections in the country remain at a significant level this year. Consequently, personal precautions are as important as mosquito control.
