Ziaur Rahman Foundation Organises Free Eye Surgery Camp in Dhaka
Dr. Zubaida Rahman has visited a free cataract surgery camp in the capital's Vasantek area, where approximately one thousand patients received medical treatment. The initiative was jointly organised by the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Al Noor Eye Hospital.
A free cataract surgery camp was organised on Saturday at the Vasantek Government Secondary School ground in Dhaka under the initiative of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and Al Noor Eye Hospital. The medical camp provided healthcare services to a significant number of people from the local community, addressing urgent eye care needs in the capital.
Dr. Zubaida Rahman visited the ongoing medical camp to inspect the facilities and operations on the ground. During her visit to the venue, she distributed essential medicines and eyeglasses directly to the patients who attended the health camp for treatment.
According to the official details of the event, approximately one thousand patients received medical treatment at the camp. Doctors provided professional healthcare services to the attendees across sixteen to seventeen dedicated booths set up at the Vasantek Government Secondary School ground.
During the inspection, Dr. Zubaida Rahman visited the various booths to speak directly with the attending physicians and check on the well-being of the patients. She also recommended that individuals suffering from other medical conditions should be brought under the purview of future healthcare initiatives organised by the foundation.
Dr. Farhad Halim Donar provided further details regarding the expansion of these humanitarian efforts. He stated that following this event in the capital, the foundation will arrange eye medical treatments for five thousand people in Bogura.
In addition to the planned programme in Bogura, Dr. Farhad Halim Donar announced that a comprehensive medical camp will also be organised in Tangail to serve ten thousand patients. These upcoming initiatives highlight the continued health outreach activities planned by the organisation.
