A dramatic protest unfolded in Joypurhat district as a housewife, accompanied by her four-year-old daughter, staged a sit-in outside the residence of a young man named Siyam. The incident took place in Minigari Purba Para village, located under Mamudpur Union in Khetlal upazila, drawing significant local attention.

According to the verified reports, the housewife arrived at Siyam's house late at night on Thursday, specifically around 10:00 PM, to launch her protest. She has publicly claimed that Siyam is her lover and that he had previously made a promise to marry her.

Explaining the trigger for her sudden arrival at the premises, the housewife stated during the incident: "I came to know on Thursday night that Siyam had gone to marry another young woman. Upon receiving this news, I came to his house with my daughter around 10:00 PM. I will not leave this place until Siyam returns." Confirming this timeline, local accounts verify that Siyam indeed married at another location on Thursday night.

As the sit-in continued into Friday, the situation at the residence escalated regarding the occupants' whereabouts. The family members of Siyam chose to lock the house from the outside and relocated to another place, leaving the protesting mother and child outside the locked gates.

The local administration and law enforcement agencies have taken cognizance of the unfolding situation in Mamudpur Union. Local police official Muktarul Alam commented on the ongoing developments, stating: "I have informed the higher authorities about the matter. If it is not resolved locally, legal action will be taken."

The local community in Minigari Purba Para village remains watchful as the housewife persists with her demonstration outside the locked residence of Siyam, awaiting his return while authorities monitor the situation for potential intervention.
