The Bangladesh Army and the United States Oregon National Guard have officially concluded their four-day expert-level armor-cavalry exchange program. The collaborative military engagement focused on specialized tactical and operational experiences between the two armed forces, highlighting continued defense cooperation.
The formal proceedings culminated in a closing and certificate-distribution ceremony held on 16 September 2026. The official event took place at the Armored Corps Centre and School, located within the Bogura Cantonment.
Brigadier General Hasnat Ahmed, who serves as the Commandant of the Armored Corps Centre and School, presided over the proceedings as the chief guest. During the ceremony at the Bogura installation, he formally distributed certificates to the participating personnel.
Details regarding the joint military exchange program were officially documented and disseminated by the Inter Services Public Relations, the public information wing of the military. The initiative underscored ongoing bilateral military training engagements between Bangladeshi forces and the United States Oregon National Guard.
In an unrelated domestic incident occurring separately from the military program, a fatal traffic collision was reported in the capital city. The accident involved a bus and a motorcycle in the Banasree area of Rampura, Dhaka.
According to the confirmed details of the street tragedy, a female teacher from Milestone School and College lost her life in the collision with the motor vehicle. Local authorities and emergency response mechanisms recorded the incident as a separate event occurring outside the military cantonment.
