An administrative controversy has emerged surrounding Badshaganj Public Girls' High School located in the Dharmapasha upazila of Sunamganj. According to verified reports regarding the institution, the educational facility was dismissed significantly earlier than usual last Thursday, halting academic activities at 1 pm outside of established operational rules.
The institution currently operates with a staff of 16 teachers to accommodate a student body consisting of four and a half hundred learners. However, the operational capacity of the school was heavily impacted on the day in question due to multiple staff absences.
Official records from the incident confirm that a total of six teachers were on leave last Thursday. Furthermore, environmental conditions played a role in the day's low turnout, as prevailing weather conditions involving rain resulted in a reduced presence of students on the school grounds.
In response to the allegations concerning the premature dismissal of the institution, statements were provided by Nazrul Islam. Addressing the claims that the school closed its doors improperly at the afternoon hour, Islam defended the administrative choice by pointing directly to the day's exceptional circumstances.
Rejecting the critical narrative surrounding the event, Nazrul Islam remarked that the students would not typically make such statements. Explaining the context of the early closure, Islam stated that six teachers were on leave last Thursday and that the presence of students was low due to the rain, which collectively prompted the decision to give the holiday.
