The election for the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Unit Welfare Committee has officially taken place at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport located in Dhaka. The electoral process concluded with the selection of new leadership representatives to manage the committee's responsibilities moving forward under the oversight of relevant aviation authorities.

Following the conclusion of the voting procedure, Md. Rafikul Islam Sujon emerged victorious in securing the position of general secretary. His appointment places him at a central administrative role within the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Unit Welfare Committee, where he will oversee organizational functions alongside other committee members.

In addition to the general secretary position, Md. Ashraf Ali was elected to serve as the treasurer of the committee. In this capacity, he will take charge of the financial matters and accounts associated with the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Unit Welfare Committee following the transition of authority.

Preparations for the official administrative handover are already underway following the conclusion of the electoral proceedings. According to the established timeline for the transition, the outgoing committee is scheduled to hand over all responsibilities and official duties to the newly elected committee by September 7.
