Samakal Science Debate Festival 2026 Held in Gaibandha
BIAM Laboratory School and College has emerged as the champion at the Samakal Science Debate Festival 2026 in Gaibandha. Eight educational institutions participated in the district-level competition hosted on September 13, 2026.
The district phase of the Samakal Science Debate Festival 2026 officially took place on September 13, 2026, at the BIAM Laboratory School and College located in Gaibandha. The prominent event gathered students, educators, and distinguished guests to celebrate scientific curiosity and intellectual discourse through structured debating competitions.
A total of eight different educational institutions actively participated in the day-long festival, showcasing their rhetorical skills and scientific knowledge. The participating institutions included the host venue BIAM Laboratory School and College, Gaibandha Government Boys' High School, Gaibandha Government College, Islamia High School, Police Lines School, Nurul Haque Modern High School, and Amar Bangla Secondary School, alongside other organizing and media entities such as Prothom Alo, Ekattor TV, RTV, and Desh Rupantar.
Following a series of rigorous intellectual face-offs, BIAM Laboratory School and College secured the ultimate championship title of the tournament. Gaibandha Government Boys' High School put up a strong fight throughout the rounds and finished the district-level competition as the official runners-up.
Adding an individual accolade to the runners-up team's achievements, A S M Arsha Salehin from the Gaibandha Government Boys' High School was officially named the best speaker of the entire tournament for exceptional debating performance.
The successful hosting of the festival was overseen by various notable figures in attendance, including Hedayetul Islam, Professor Md. Abdur Rashid, Masum Lumen, Fatema Yasmin, Monজুরul Islam, Md. Moshiur Rahman, A B M Zillur Rahman, Sumaiya Akter Shimu, Saiyara Sahanaj Sinha, Fatema Sultana, Tajwar Tawhid Shubro, and Nuhahid Munkadir, marking a significant gathering for the youth of Gaibandha.
