A tragic incident has occurred at the New Gorib Shah Clinic and Diagnostic Center in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah, involving the death of a 35-year-old pregnant woman named Shilpi Khatun. The event took place at the medical facility located in the Barbazar area, according to reports confirmed on Sunday.

Shilpi Khatun was a resident of Satghasia village within the Kasthabhanga union of the same upazila. She was the wife of Yar Ali, who now faces the profound loss of his spouse under distressing circumstances at the local diagnostic center.

Following her death at the clinic, a surgical procedure was performed. Through this post-mortem intervention, medical personnel successfully rescued a live newborn from the deceased woman's abdomen.
