October 25 set for probe report in Syed Abu Zafar disappearance case

The International Crimes Tribunal has set October 25 for the submission of the investigation report regarding the disappearance of Syed Abu Zafar, who served as the chairman of the Bagowan Union Parishad in Rauzan. The procedural date was officially scheduled today, Sunday, as the judicial proceedings concerning the historical incident advance within the tribunal framework.

The legal case centers on the forced disappearance of Syed Abu Zafar, which took place years ago in 2010. According to the case details verified by the tribunal, the victim was a local governance representative in Rauzan before he went missing under circumstances that are currently the subject of the ongoing formal judicial investigation.

Two specific individuals have been officially named as accused parties in connection with the disappearance case. The accused individuals are former Member of Parliament ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury and former military official Ziaul Ahsan, both of whom are implicated in the events under the jurisdiction of the international crimes tribunal.

International Crimes Tribunal–2 formally issued the directive establishing the upcoming date for the submission of the investigation findings. The deadline gives the investigating authorities until October 25 to finalize and present their comprehensive report to the tribunal for further judicial review and subsequent proceedings.
