NTRCA Directed to Re-evaluate Recommendations for 199 Teachers

Education authorities in Dhaka, Bangladesh, have initiated moves to reconsider and properly recommend teachers who were previously assigned to incorrect institutional demands. The development addresses complications arising from erroneous placement data involving a specific group of educators under the current recruitment framework.
A total of 199 qualified teachers, processed through the sixth and seventh mass circulars, had previously received recommendations for postings based on flawed demands submitted by authorities. Upon closer review, it was revealed that the specific educational institutions designated for their appointments did not actually possess any vacant posts for these educators.
To resolve this administrative issue, a high-level meeting was convened on August 18, 2026, at the Secondary and Higher Education Division within the Secretariat in Dhaka. The session was presided over by Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon, bringing together key officials to address the plight of the affected teachers.
During the meeting, the Private Teachers' Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) received explicit directives from the education ministry to rectify the situation. Specifically, the regulatory body has been instructed to complete a thorough re-recommendation process for the 199 teachers within a strict timeframe of one week.
The ongoing corrective measures mark a significant step by the education ministry and the NTRCA to ensure proper placement for candidates who faced setbacks due to inaccurate vacancy information. Further actions are expected to be coordinated in line with the ministry's directives issued on August 23, 2026, to finalize the rightful appointments of the affected teachers.
