Key National Citizen Party leaders have transferred their voter registration areas in Dhaka ahead of upcoming local government elections. The strategic relocations coincide with the party's mayoral nominations for both Dhaka North and South city corporations.
Ahead of the upcoming local government elections, key figures within the National Citizen Party (NCP) have officially changed their respective voter registration areas in the capital city of Dhaka. The administrative shifts involve high-ranking party officials adjusting their residential constituencies to align with the party's broader electoral strategy in the urban local bodies.
According to the verified details of the move, NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary has transferred his voter registration from the Dhaka North City Corporation area. He has now successfully moved his voter area to a location that falls under the Dhaka-8 parliamentary constituency, which is situated within the administrative boundaries of the Dhaka South City Corporation.
In a simultaneous development, NCP Spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, who was previously registered as a voter within the Dhaka South City Corporation area, has also undergone a voter area relocation. His registration has now been updated and officially included within the Aftabnagar area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Dhaka North City Corporation.
These strategic transfers of voter registration areas directly correspond with the party's electoral lineup for the upcoming municipal contests. The National Citizen Party has officially announced its mayoral candidates for the two major metropolitan administrations, designating Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan to contest for the Dhaka South City Corporation and Ariful Islam Adeeb to run for the Dhaka North City Corporation.
Following the announcements and the subsequent political maneuvers within the party, NCP mayoral candidate Ariful Islam Adeeb took to social media on Monday afternoon to share his perspective on the developments. In a brief public post published on his official Facebook account, Adeeb remarked, 'Politics is a game of equations!' as the party continues to navigate the complexities of the upcoming local government elections in Dhaka.
