National Training Course Opens for Newly Nationalized College Teachers in Dhaka
A 45-day induction training course for teachers from newly nationalized government colleges has officially opened in Dhaka. Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon inaugurated the programme at NAEM on August 18, 2026.
The National Academy for Educational Management (NAEM) in Dhaka served as the venue for the inauguration of a significant induction training course designed specifically for teachers from newly nationalized government colleges. The official opening ceremony took place on August 18, 2026, marking an important step in the professional development of educators within the newly transitioned institutions.
Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon, who holds ministerial responsibilities for both the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, presided over the opening event as a key speaker. Addressing the assembled educators, Dr. Milon emphasized the fundamental importance of passion in the teaching profession, stating that individuals cannot truly enjoy their work if they fail to love their chosen career. He urged all participating teachers to approach their duties with a deep-seated affection for their profession.
Expanding on the vital role educators play in society, the minister described teachers as the architects who build human character and shape the future. Because of this profound responsibility, he stressed that teachers must be provided with proper and comprehensive training to equip them for their academic duties. Furthermore, Dr. Milon drew a parallel between students and family, noting that students are equivalent to one's own children and should be educated with the same care and dedication.
The newly launched educational initiative is structured as a comprehensive 45-day training course designed to enhance the pedagogical skills and administrative capabilities of the participating educators. To accommodate the large cohort efficiently, the extensive programme has been distributed across nine distinct venues, ensuring structured learning and proper management throughout the duration of the course.
A total of 520 trainees are currently participating in this specialized induction programme, representing the teaching staff from colleges that have recently been brought under government administration. The initiative highlights ongoing administrative efforts by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and the Secondary and Higher Education Division to standardize and elevate educational standards across these newly nationalized institutions.
