National Teachers Forum Holds Central Conference in Dhaka

The central conference of the National Teacher Forum was held yesterday, Friday, at the Abdus Salam Hall of the National Press Club located in Dhaka. The notable gathering brought together educators, leaders, and members to discuss pressing professional matters and the future direction of the organization.

During the proceedings, Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim, who serves as the Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, delivered a significant speech addressing the assembled attendees as the chief guest of the conference. His remarks focused on systemic reforms necessary for the improvement of the education sector and the overall welfare of the teaching community.

Emphasizing the foundational changes required in the country, Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim stated during his address that corruption must be brought to an end. He further elaborated that once corruption is successfully halted, it will become much easier to establish the essential rights and dignity of teachers, alongside achieving the much-desired nationalization.

The conference also featured important organizational updates, including the formal announcement of the leadership committee for the 2027-28 session. ABM Zakaria was announced as the new president of the forum for the upcoming term, setting the stage for the organization's future leadership.

In addition to the presidency, the announcement detailed the appointments of other key executive roles for the 2027-28 session. Maulana Mohammad Nesar Uddin was named as the senior vice-president, and Abdus Sabur was designated to take on the responsibilities of the secretary general.
