Mass Teacher Transfer at Motijheel Ideal School Sparks Concern

In a significant administrative development at Motijheel Ideal School and College located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, a mass transfer of teaching staff has been executed from the main branch to other branches and shifts within the educational institution. The official directive regarding the transfers was formally issued late at night on Sunday, specifically around 11:30 PM, according to the verified information.

The exact number of affected educators has become a subject of differing accounts between the school administration and the teachers themselves. According to the claims made by the teachers, the total number of instructors who have been subjected to this administrative transfer order stands at 46 individuals. This considerable figure represents a major reshuffling of personnel within the prominent Dhaka-based institution.

However, Principal Professor Lal Mohammad has provided a different statistic regarding the personnel movement. According to Principal Lal Mohammad, the actual number of teachers who have been transferred is 26. He further explained that the remaining individuals referenced in other figures have simply been reassigned between their respective institution's day and morning shifts, moving from afternoon shifts to morning shifts or vice versa. When addressing other allegations brought forward concerning the reshuffle, the principal chose to bypass them.

The administrative action has drawn strong criticism from stakeholders within the school community. Shahadat Dhali, who serves as a former guardian member of the governing body, voiced deep concern over the timing and scale of the directive. He pointed out that executing such a large-scale transfer involving dozens of instructors is an unprecedented occurrence in the history of the Ideal institution.

Elaborating on the potential consequences for the students, Shahadat Dhali emphasized the timing of the administrative decision. With the annual examinations approaching in the near future, he warned that transferring such a substantial number of teachers at this critical juncture will inevitably cause disruptions and negatively affect the students' classroom instruction and academic preparation.

Furthermore, Shahadat Dhali alleged specific motivations behind the sudden Sunday night directive. According to his statements, the mass transfer of educators was carried out specifically for the purpose of keeping a faction known as the Barisal group satisfied, raising further questions regarding the internal governance and administrative priorities at Motijheel Ideal School and College.
