In an incident unfolding over Friday night and Saturday, a local man named Mukul Hossain was detained and subjected to public humiliation in Bogura district. The events took place in Badiachra village, situated within the Mokamtola area of Shibganj upazila, drawing the attention of local law enforcement authorities.

Mukul Hossain, whose permanent residence is in Debchandi village under the Pirab union of the same upazila, found himself in the custody of local residents during the late-night hours. Specifically, around two o'clock in the early hours of Friday night, Hossain had entered the residential property belonging to a local individual named Abdur Rahim.

Following his entry into the premises, members of the local public gathered and accused Hossain of attempting to commit theft. In response to the accusation, the gathered crowd detained him and forcibly shaved his head as a form of punishment before police intervention could take place.

The situation came to the attention of the authorities the following morning. At approximately seven o'clock on Saturday morning, Sub-Inspector Ansar Ali from the Mokamtola police investigation center arrived at the scene to address the unfolding situation involving the detained individual.

Detailing the police response, Sub-Inspector Ansar Ali stated, "Upon receiving the information, we went to the scene and took that person into police custody. He has nine theft cases against him in various police stations. He has been sent to court on Saturday afternoon, showing him as arrested in the previous case." Consequently, Hossain was transferred from police custody to face the judicial system based on his prior legal record.
