Lalmonirhat-2 MP Rokon Uddin Babul Demands Justice Against Conspiracy
Lalmonirhat-2 MP Rokon Uddin Babul has demanded justice against a local faction of the BNP during a worker evaluation meeting. The event highlighted 180 days of development achievements in Aditmari upazila.
On August 18, 2026, a significant worker evaluation meeting was held at the Government Aditmari G.S. High School ground in Aditmari upazila, Lalmonirhat. The event drew considerable attention as it served as a platform for local political discussions and organizational assessments within the region.
During the gathering, Member of Parliament for the Lalmonirhat-2 constituency, Rokon Uddin Babul, delivered a prominent speech as the chief guest. He used the platform to address internal party dynamics, specifically targeting a local group within the BNP and demanding justice against what he characterized as an ongoing conspiracy against him.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rokon Uddin Babul stated, "Union BNP president and secretary along with all organization leaders are on the stage. Are they not grassroots leaders? Then what about those few leaders? Those who claim to be the grassroots today and call me incompetent, if my party chairman prime minister says I am incompetent and asks me to resign, I will not delay even a single moment, I will resign immediately. I demand justice from the prime minister. He should conduct a proper investigation and judge this conspiracy against me."
Expanding on his claims of ongoing opposition within political circles, the lawmaker noted that Kaliganj upazila BNP convenor Jahangir Alam had sought a nomination but was deprived. He further asserted that this faction had previously attempted to obstruct him during the nomination process, stating, "This clique also conspired during the nomination time. But the party chairman gave me the nomination after a fair investigation. They have started conspiring again like before. Those who are conspiring are not only harming me, they are harming Shaheed Zia's family. They do not want this seat to have a MP from the Nationalist Party. They do not want that."
MP Babul concluded his remarks by urging his supporters to remain vigilant and united in the face of these challenges. He emphasized, "You will remain alert, you will remain cautious, you will remain united. There is no power that will harm Shaheed Zia's family, harm my existence, belittle me."
In addition to the political addresses, the program featured a documentary presentation. Organizers utilized a projector to showcase the progress and advancement of development initiatives achieved during the first 180 days of assuming power in the area.
