In a significant political and academic development in the capital, the Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad has officially announced the formation of a specialised coordination committee. This newly minted body has been established with the primary objective of ensuring the successful election of 25 registered graduate representatives to the senate of the prestigious Dhaka University. The announcement, which took place in Dhaka on the 3rd of September, marks a crucial step for the organisation as it gears up for the upcoming electoral process within one of the country's most prominent higher education institutions.

According to the official structure of the newly formed coordination committee, high-profile leadership has been assigned to oversee its strategic operations. Md. Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, who serves as a member of the national executive committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) as well as a Member of Parliament, has been appointed as the convener of the committee. His extensive political background and leadership experience are expected to guide the organisation's strategy in navigating the complexities of the university's registered graduate representative elections.

Working alongside the convener to manage the day-to-day administrative and operational functions is Professor Md. Morshed Hasan Khan. A notable academic figure who also holds the position of a Dhaka University syndicate member, Professor Khan has been designated as the member-secretary of the coordination committee. His presence within the leadership tier bridges the gap between broader political objectives and the specific institutional dynamics of Dhaka University.

The newly formed committee comprises a robust team of prominent individuals whose collective expertise will be directed toward the selection and campaign processes for the 25 targeted positions. Among the notable members appointed to the committee are Muhammad Munir Hossain, Nasir Uddin Ahmed Oshim, Abdus Salam, Mohammad Almojaddedi Alfeshani, Md. Lutfor Rahman, Abul Kalam Sarkar, and Md. Abdus Sattar Patwary. Together, this diverse group brings a wealth of organisational experience to the table as they embark on their mandated task.

As preparations get underway in Dhaka, the coordination committee is expected to focus its efforts on mobilising support among the registered graduates associated with the university. The outcome of these elections will determine the representation of nationalist ideologies within the highest policymaking body of Dhaka University, making this initiative a central focus for the Jatiyatabadi Oikya Parishad in the academic arena.
