Jatiya Party Kazi Zafar names new secretary-general and co-chairmen
The Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) faction has appointed Presidium Member Kazi Md. Nahid as its new secretary-general. Meanwhile, outgoing secretary-general Ahsan Habib Linkon and Nawab Ali Abbas Khan were elected as co-chairmen during the central committee meeting.

The Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) has officially announced a leadership restructuring following a significant central committee meeting held in the capital. The organizational gathering resulted in the appointment of a new secretary-general alongside the elevation of key senior figures to newly designated roles within the political faction.
According to the verified details of the gathering, Presidium Member Kazi Md. Nahid has been chosen to take over as the new secretary-general of the party. This transition places him at the administrative helm of the central committee as the organization navigates its ongoing political activities and internal structuring.
In tandem with the appointment of the new secretary-general, the central committee also announced elevated positions for outgoing leadership. The outgoing secretary-general, Ahsan Habib Linkon, alongside Nawab Ali Abbas Khan, have both been officially elected as the new co-chairmen of the Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar).
The high-level organizational decisions were finalized during a central committee meeting that took place on Saturday, August 22, 2023. The proceedings were conducted at the temporary office of the political party located in the Khilgaon area of Dhaka.
The crucial session and its subsequent leadership appointments were presided over by the party's chairman, Mostofa Jamal Haider. Under his leadership, the committee deliberated and enacted these structural updates, marking a notable internal shift for the Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar) faction moving forward.
