Islamic University and BRAC Discuss New Student Career Hub
Islamic University in Kushtia and BRAC's Skills Development Programme held preliminary talks on September 7 to establish a new Career Hub. A final Memorandum of Understanding is scheduled to be signed on September 20 to support student employment.
Representatives from the Islamic University administration in Kushtia, Bangladesh, and BRAC's Skills Development Programme convened for a preliminary discussion on 7 September. The primary focus of this initial meeting was the prospective establishment of a dedicated 'Career Hub' designed to serve the student body.
The collaborative initiative is structured to address the professional development needs of university attendees by offering comprehensive career counseling services. Furthermore, the proposed hub will facilitate targeted skill development programs and provide essential preparation resources for students entering the job market.
In addition to counseling and preparation services, the planned Career Hub aims to foster vital professional connections by creating networking opportunities for students. These multifaceted offerings are intended to bridge the gap between academic life and future employment prospects for participants.
Following the preliminary dialogue held on 7 September, both organizations have outlined the next steps for the partnership. A final Memorandum of Understanding, commonly referred to as an MoU, is officially scheduled to be signed between the parties on 20 September to formalize the agreement.
