Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer escapes unhurt after bus rams vehicle
Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Mohibullah Babunagari escaped unhurt after a bus rammed his vehicle on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway. Police later seized the bus and collected a fine from the owner.

On September 16 around 11:00 AM, a potentially dangerous traffic incident occurred on the busy Dhaka-Chattogram highway when a passenger bus collided with a transport carrying a prominent religious leader. The target of the collision was a HiAce vehicle transporting Mohibullah Babunagari, the Ameer of the influential Islamist organization Hefazat-e-Islam, as it travelled through the Baroyarhat area.
According to verified accounts of the incident, the bus struck the Hefazat leader's vehicle from behind with enough force to shatter the rear glass window. Despite the severity of the impact and the suddenness of the collision, officials confirmed that Mohibullah Babunagari and all other individuals accompanying him inside the vehicle remained completely unharmed and avoided any physical injuries.
Following the unexpected roadside collision, arrangements were quickly made to ensure the safety and continued journey of the Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer. Rather than remaining at the site of the accident in the damaged transport, Mohibullah Babunagari safely transferred to another vehicle and successfully resumed his travels, departing for Noakhali as originally scheduled.
Local law enforcement authorities and highway monitors swiftly intervened in the aftermath of the crash to address the traffic violation and secure the area. Personnel from the Baroyarhat Highway Police Outpost tracked down and successfully seized the bus responsible for the rear-end collision on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway.
In addition to seizing the offending vehicle, the law enforcement authorities imposed official financial penalties against the transport operators involved in the incident. Police records confirm that the Baroyarhat Highway Police Outpost successfully collected a total fine of 45,000 taka directly from the owner of the bus before concluding their handling of the case.
