Habiganj Agricultural University Launches First Bus Service

Habiganj Agricultural University has officially introduced its very first bus service, marking a significant milestone for the institution located in Habiganj. The new transportation initiative aims to resolve commuting challenges for the academic community and improve overall campus accessibility.

As part of this new initiative, two single-decker buses from the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) have been successfully added to the university's official transport system. These vehicles will serve the daily commuting needs of the enrolled student body across the institution.

The formal inauguration ceremony took place on September 15, 2026, directly on the university premises. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque presided over the launch event, officially commissioning the two new vehicles into service alongside other university stakeholders.

Currently, the educational institution accommodates a total of 369 students actively engaged in their academic pursuits. This student body comprises 173 male students spanning across five academic years, alongside 196 female students distributed through the same educational tenure.

Highlighting the importance of the new transit additions, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque stated, "The integration of these buses will create a safe and comfortable environment for students traveling to and from the campus." He further added that this development paves the way for the future expansion and modernization of the university's transportation network.
