Gaibandha Man Faces Kidney Failure as Family Appeals for 15 Lakh Taka
Nahid Hossain is battling total kidney failure with regular dialysis in Rangpur while his family seeks financial aid. They require approximately 15 lakh taka for a transplant with his wife ready as a donor.

A critical health crisis has unfolded in Gaibandha as Nahid Hossain struggles with the complete failure of both of his kidneys, a severe medical condition he has been battling for four consecutive years. To sustain his life amidst this profound physical ordeal, Mr. Hossain is currently undergoing regular dialysis treatments in Rangpur, traveling outside his home district to manage the severe symptoms of his failing organs.
Amidst this dire situation, a glimmer of hope has emerged from within the family as his wife, Sathi Akhtar, has bravely stepped forward and expressed her full readiness to donate one of her kidneys to save her husband's life. However, the medical procedure required to restore his health involves significant financial resources that far exceed the impoverished household's capacity to pay.
Medical evaluations indicate that approximately 15 lakh taka is urgently required to successfully complete the kidney transplantation process. Speaking about the immense financial barrier, Nahid Hossain expressed his profound helplessness, stating that even if they were to sell their family home, they would still not be able to raise such a substantial amount of money, while emphasizing his desperate desire to live for the sake of his children.
His wife Sathi Akhtar shared the heartbreaking emotional toll the illness has taken on their household, noting that their young daughter loves her father deeply, stays by his side constantly, and simply wants him to recover and return home healthy. Other family members, including Nasima Begum and Sakhowat Hossain, have made heartfelt public appeals urging wealthy individuals and compassionate members of society to extend a helping hand so that the young man's life can be saved through collective assistance.
