Fortis FC Drawn in Group C for AFC Challenge League After Play-Off Win
Bangladeshi club Fortis FC has been placed in Group C of the AFC Challenge League following the official draw held in Kuala Lumpur. The team has also finalized its squad and player registrations ahead of the matches scheduled in Kuwait.
Bangladeshi football club Fortis FC has officially discovered its continental opponents following the official tournament draw held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The club enters the group stage phase after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Kyrgyzstan club Muras United during the preliminary qualification play-off encounters.
As a result of the draw proceedings in Kuala Lumpur, Fortis FC has been allocated into Group C of the upcoming AFC Challenge League competition. The team will face challenging opponents in their group, which features India's FC Goa, Kuwait's Qadsia SC, and Tajikistan's Regar-TadAZ, alongside the Bangladeshi side.
Tournament organizers have confirmed that the matches for Group C will take place centrally in Kuwait. The fixtures are scheduled to be played over a compressed period, running from the 17th of October through to the 23rd of October.
In preparation for the upcoming international challenges, squad composition updates indicate that forward Ibrahim has officially joined Fortis FC on a permanent basis for the duration of the entire upcoming football season.
Additionally, the club has finalized and submitted its official player registration lists to the Bangladesh Football Federation (Baff). Within this submitted roster, Fortis FC has utilized its available South Asian Football Federation quota to sign three foreign players: Sri Lankan goalkeeper Sujan Perera, alongside Nepalese players Arik Bista and Ananta Tamang.
