Farmer's Bloody Body Recovered and Gold Looted in Mathbaria
Police recovered the bloody body of a farmer from his homestead in Pirojpur's Mathbaria upazila on Saturday afternoon. A gang of seven to eight perpetrators also looted nearly four bhoris of gold ornaments after rendering family members unconscious.
On Saturday, August 15, 2020, law enforcement authorities in Pirojpur district recovered the bloody body of a farmer following a violent incident. The grim discovery was made around 1:30 PM at the homestead of the deceased victim in Mathbaria upazila.
Specifically, the targeted attack and subsequent body recovery took place at the Mistry house located in the village of Panshatch Kura, which falls under the jurisdiction of the six-number Tikikata union in Mathbaria upazila. Authorities responded to the scene after being alerted to the unfolding situation.
According to the verified details of the incident, an organized criminal gang consisting of seven to eight individuals carried out the raid. During the course of the crime, the perpetrators rendered the family members of the household unconscious before executing the robbery.
Amid the chaos and incapacitation of the residents, the marauding group ransacked the premises and looted approximately four bhoris of gold ornaments from the home. The extent of the property theft highlights the targeted nature of the violent home invasion in the rural area.
Following the discovery of the victim's remains by law enforcement personnel at the scene, official procedures were immediately initiated. The deceased farmer's bloody body was subsequently dispatched to the morgue at the Pirojpur district headquarters for a comprehensive post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
