Electrocuted stump-tailed macaque rescued in Sreemangal

An injured stump-tailed macaque was successfully rescued from the Shyamoli residential area in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar, Bangladesh, following an electrocution incident. The wildlife rescue operation took place on August 21, 2026, after the primate suffered a severe electric shock and fell to the ground in the residential neighborhood.
Alert residents of the Shyamoli area acted quickly upon witnessing the monkey fall from its elevated position. Understanding the urgency of the situation, local people immediately contacted the Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation to report the injured animal and request professional intervention to ensure its safety and medical care.
