The focal point of the protest is situated within Khamar Paban Tair village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Ghoridah Union in the Saghata upazila of Gaibandha district. The unidentified woman arrived at the property determined to secure a marital commitment from the homeowner.
Rather than addressing the situation directly, the man identified as Pabitram—also known in the confirmed reports by the name Phatik—chose to flee the premises. His sudden departure left the elderly protestor at his doorstep as the hunger strike continued to unfold at the location.
In the wake of the incident, legal steps have been initiated by the individuals involved. Documentation indicates that Phatik subsequently fled the scene and lodged an official complaint at the local Saghata police station.
Law enforcement authorities have formally acknowledged the brewing domestic dispute. Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Pabitra Kumar of the Saghata police station has officially confirmed that formal complaints have been received from both involved parties regarding the matter.
