Dutch-Bangla Bank Announces 2026 SSC Scholarships for Students

Dutch-Bangla Bank has officially announced its educational scholarship program for meritorious and financially disadvantaged students who have successfully passed the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations. This financial assistance initiative is specifically designed to support students during their higher secondary level of studies across Bangladesh. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for this scholarship opportunity must complete their application procedures before the final deadline of September 4, 2026.

To ensure fair distribution and uplift marginalized demographics, the scholarship framework includes specific structural quotas and allocations. A significant majority, totaling ninety percent of the total scholarships available, has been strictly earmarked for students hailing from rural and underdeveloped regions of the country. Furthermore, to promote gender equity in higher education, fifty percent of the total scholarships will be awarded specifically to female students.

Academic eligibility criteria for the scholarship vary depending on the geographical location of the applicant's educational institution. Students who have passed their examinations from schools located within city corporation areas and district municipal towns are required to hold a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5. Restrictions are slightly adjusted for students coming from remote areas, where those representing rural and underdeveloped regions are required to attain a minimum GPA of 4.83.

Selected recipients of the Dutch-Bangla Bank educational scholarship will receive comprehensive financial support throughout their higher secondary studies to assist with academic and living expenses. The recurring monthly stipend for each successful student is fixed at 2,500 taka. In addition to the monthly financial aid, students will receive an annual grant of 2,500 taka specifically allocated for purchasing necessary educational and reading materials.

The financial package also includes provisions for personal upkeep and student welfare during the academic year. Recipients will receive an annual allowance of 1,000 taka designated strictly for clothing and apparel. However, the bank has outlined clear exclusionary guidelines stating that students who are already receiving scholarships from any other source outside of government-provided grants will not be considered eligible for this program.

Following the conclusion of the application window on September 4, 2026, the evaluation and preliminary selection process will commence. The official preliminary list of initially selected candidates for the 2026 scholarship program will be publicly announced later in the month on September 22, 2026.
