The syndicate of Dhaka University has officially cleared Sufia Kamal Hall Union Vice-President Sanjana Chowdhury Ratree of extortion allegations. A university-formed probe committee found no evidence supporting claims that she demanded two lakh taka for opening a canteen.
Dhaka University authorities have officially exonerated Sanjana Chowdhury Ratree, Vice-President of the Sufia Kamal Hall Students' Union, from allegations of demanding extortion. The decision was reached during a recent syndicate meeting following an investigation into an incident that occurred in November of last year. Ratree had previously faced accusations that she demanded two lakh taka in connection with the opening of a hall canteen, prompting the university administration to establish a formal probe committee to look into the matter.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Mojaddedi Alfesani confirmed the official decision regarding the case.
