In a recent administrative reshuffle within the capital's law enforcement infrastructure, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has officially transferred and reassigned four police inspectors to new operational roles and duty stations across Dhaka, Bangladesh. The official directive, which was issued on the first day of September 2026, outlines specific movements of key police personnel designed to address ongoing operational requirements within various local police precincts.

Among the key changes announced in the recent police department directive, the inspector serving as the investigation inspector at Uttara-West Police Station, Mo. Muniruzzaman, has been reassigned to take over new responsibilities as the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station. This promotion and relocation places him in charge of the administration and station-level operations at the Tejgaon facility.

Additionally, further reassignments were detailed for operational personnel currently serving in central metropolitan areas. Mo. Salah Uddin Kader, who previously held the position of unarmed police inspector (operations) at Motijheel Police Station, has been officially transferred and posted to Ramna Police Station to serve as the unarmed police inspector (investigation).

Similarly, administrative shifts continue with the repositioning of personnel from Paltan to Adabor. Mo. Nurul Islam, who was working as the unarmed police inspector (operations) at Paltan Police Station, has been designated to assume the duties of unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Adabor Police Station under the updated organizational deployment.

Rounding out the series of transfers implemented by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police on September 1, 2026, Sabbi Mohammad Selim Tapon has also been shifted to a new precinct. Having previously served as the unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Tejgaon Police Station, he is now posted to take on the exact same functional role as the unarmed police inspector (investigation) at Uttara-West Police Station.
