Dinajpur Holds School Feeding Workshop to Boost Primary Education Quality
An orientation workshop was held in Dinajpur to discuss the government primary education quality improvement and school feeding program. The initiative will cover 363 government primary schools across five upazilas.
On Monday, 31 August, a significant orientation workshop and discussion meeting focused on the 'Government Primary School Feeding Program' project and the enhancement of primary education quality took place at the Dinajpur Shilpakala Academy Auditorium in Dinajpur. The gathering brought together key educational stakeholders to discuss the implementation strategies and objectives of the federally backed initiative aimed at supporting young learners in the region.
According to the verified project details, the comprehensive school feeding program is scheduled to be implemented across 363 government primary schools situated within five specific upazilas of the Dinajpur district. These designated upazilas encompass Kaharole, Ghoraghat, Biral, Birampur, and Bochaganj, where educational administrators and local communities are preparing for the rollout of the nutritional support project.
Through this expansive regional intervention, a total of 68,761 young students will be brought directly under the umbrella of the school feeding program. The initiative is designed to provide consistent nutritional support to these pupils across the 363 targeted government primary institutions, ensuring that children in the five participating upazilas benefit from the scheduled meal provisions during their academic hours.
The high-level orientation workshop saw the active participation of headteachers representing all 363 government primary schools from the five designated upazilas. These educational leaders gathered at the Dinajpur Shilpakala Academy Auditorium to receive detailed guidance regarding the operational framework, logistical requirements, and administrative expectations associated with the upcoming school feeding rollout.
During the discussions, Bobby Hajjaj addressed critical operational standards, issuing a stern warning regarding compliance and accountability within the initiative. He explicitly stated that individuals or entities responsible for serving low-quality food or engaging in any irregularities within the school feeding program will face immediate removal from the food supply list.
Emphasizing community engagement, Bobby Hajjaj highlighted that it is extremely vital to involve local residents with their respective educational institutions. He noted that connecting former students of these schools will foster a collective sense of responsibility toward the institutions and accelerate overall school development.
Furthermore, addressing the governance of local educational institutions, Bobby Hajjaj asserted that managing committees are not political matters and must instead be formed based on the participation of local residents. He explained that the primary objective of this community-centric approach is to bind the neighborhood to the school, ensuring that the institution can be managed much more effectively with active local involvement.
