Dhaka International University Students Attend Sri Lanka Symposiums
Students from Dhaka International University recently traveled to Colombo, Sri Lanka, to participate in prestigious international academic events. The delegates joined hundreds of global researchers and scientists for high-level technical sessions and academic discussions.
Students from Dhaka International University recently participated in major academic events held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, representing their institution on an international platform. The delegation included individuals identified as এস এম সাজ্জাদ আহমেদ শোভন, ওমর ফারুক, সিরাজুল ইসলাম প্রধান, ব্যরিস্টার শামীম হায়দার পাটোয়ারী, প্রফেসর ড. অনুরাধা ওয়াইদ্যাসেকারা, প্রফেসর টি এন বিক্রমায়ারাচ্চি, and শাহ আলম চৌধুরী.
The events in question were the World Construction Symposium (WCS 2026), organized by the Ceylon Institute of Builders, and the International Symposium on Advances in Civil and Environmental Engineering (ACEPS 2026), hosted by the University of Ruhuna. Participating delegates attended these major international gatherings as fellows, engaging with academic peers from around the globe.
Upon arriving in Sri Lanka, the delegates experienced an exciting atmosphere as they joined approximately six to seven hundred researchers, scientists, and renowned professors who traveled from various countries worldwide to attend the concurrent academic conferences.
The academic program featured extensive intellectual engagement, highlighted by six to seven rooms running parallel technical sessions simultaneously throughout the venue. These intensive sessions allowed international experts and students to share advanced research findings and discuss developments within their respective fields.
Among the attendees was a student from the Civil Engineering Department of Dhaka International University, who officially took part in the World Construction Symposium organized by the Ceylon Institute of Builders and the international conference organized by the University of Ruhuna as a fellow.
