The official daily prayer times and Islamic rulings for prayer for Dhaka and its surrounding areas have been officially published, providing essential spiritual guidance to the local community. This comprehensive schedule applies to the specific date of 24 August 2026, which correspondingly corresponds to 9 Bhadro 1433 in the Bengali calendar and 10 Rabiul Awal 1448 in the Hijri calendar.

According to the published religious directives, the foundational framework of daily Islamic worship requires Muslims to perform a total of 17 obligatory (Farz) rakats across the five daily prayers. Alongside these obligatory rakats, the schedule highlights 12 confirmed Sunnah (Sunnat-e-Muakkada) rakats that hold immense religious significance in daily practice.

A detailed breakdown of the daily prayer structure reveals specific requirements for each of the five designated times. For Fajr, the schedule dictates 2 rakats of Farz prayer preceded by 2 rakats of Sunnah Muakkada. For Zohr, worshippers must perform 4 rakats of Farz, accompanied by 4 rakats of Sunnah Muakkada before and 2 rakats after. Asr prayer consists of 4 rakats of Farz accompanied by 4 rakats of Sunnah Zaida before the obligatory worship.

Further detailing the evening and night observances, Maghrib prayer comprises 3 rakats of Farz followed by 2 rakats of Sunnah Muakkada. Isha prayer requires 4 rakats of Farz, preceded by 4 rakats of Sunnah Zaida and followed by 2 rakats of Sunnah Muakkada, concluding with 3 rakats of Wajib Witr prayer.

Highlighting the spiritual weight of these practices, sacred texts and sayings have been shared. Allah Taala states that prayer must be performed by believers at designated specific times. Furthermore, Rasul (PBUH), the Prophet (SA), and Nabi ji (SA) emphasized the critical boundary of faith, noting that the distinction between believers and disbelievers, as well as the barrier against Shirk and Kufr, is the abandonment of prayer.

Finally, the religious guidance reminds the faithful of the ultimate accountability on the Day of Judgment. According to the statements of Rasul (SA), the very first deed of a servant to be evaluated on the Day of Judgment will be prayer. If the prayer is found to be proper, the person has succeeded and achieved salvation, whereas any flaws render them a failure and among the losers.
