Dhaka Board Schedules Make-Up HSC Exams for Weather-Disrupted Papers

The Dhaka Education Board has officially announced that rescheduled Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations will be held on August 24 for candidates who were previously unable to sit for their scheduled papers. The disruption occurred on July 13 when adverse weather conditions prevented students from attending their examinations as originally planned by the education authorities.

According to the official schedule released by the board, the upcoming examinations will begin at 10:00am. All participating candidates have been explicitly instructed by the education board to report to the examination venue well in advance, specifically by 9:30am on August 24, to ensure a smooth and orderly entry process before the papers commence.

The designated venue for this special testing arrangement is Begum Badrunnessa Government Girls’ College, situated in the Bakshibazar area of Dhaka. This specific educational institution will serve as the sole examination centre for hosting all the candidates who missed their tests due to the severe weather disruptions earlier in the examination cycle.

The special examination arrangement specifically applies to candidates who missed three distinct papers under the 2026 HSC examinations. These affected subjects are the Physics First Paper, the Accounting First Paper, and the Logic First Paper, ensuring that no eligible student misses out on their academic progression due to environmental factors.

The official notice regarding these rescheduled examinations was formally signed and issued by Prof Jesmin Taslima Banu, who serves as the controller of examinations for the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. Her office oversees the implementation of this make-up schedule for the affected student body.
