Comilla University Initiates Career Development Center to Boost Skills
Comilla University has taken an initiative to establish a Career Development Center to enhance students' skills and career advancement. Registrar Md. Mujibur Rahman Majumder has been appointed as the director of the newly launched center.
Comilla University has officially taken an initiative to launch a dedicated 'Career Development Center' aimed at fostering student skills and career progression. The decision to establish this new center comes in response to an application submitted by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university.
According to confirmed details, Professor Dr. M. M. Shariful Karim stated that the IQAC proposed the formation of the Career Development Center to provide students with practical and career-oriented education. He explained that once the center becomes fully operational, students will gain practical opportunities to enhance their proficiency alongside their regular studies, such as learning an additional language alongside Bengali and English.
Elaborating on the administrative structure, Professor Dr. M. M. Shariful Karim noted that the center will operate directly under the supervision of the vice-chancellor, while the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) will coordinate its activities. Furthermore, the organizational structure and associated positions of the center will subsequently be incorporated into the official university organogram.
In connection with the leadership of the new initiative, university Registrar Md. Mujibur Rahman Majumder was appointed as the director, holding additional responsibilities for the center, on September 9. With this latest assignment, he currently holds administrative roles across three distinct offices within the institution.
Addressing his multiple responsibilities, Md. Mujibur Rahman Majumder stated that a new center named the Career Development Center is being launched and he has been assigned as its director. Noting that he is already overseeing two other offices, making a total of three departments, he affirmed that he will put forth his utmost effort to properly execute the duties assigned to him.
However, Md. Mujibur Rahman Majumder also expressed that managing this many simultaneous responsibilities will prove somewhat difficult for him. Consequently, he stated that he would request the honorable vice-chancellor to relieve him from the responsibilities of any one of the assigned departments.
