Coast Guard Biddaniketan Inaugurated in Chattogram
A new educational institution named Coast Guard Biddaniketan has been officially inaugurated in Chattogram's Ishanagar. The establishment aims to provide quality education for the children of Bangladesh Coast Guard members and local residents.
On August 19, 2026, a significant educational milestone was reached in the region of Ishanagar, Chattogram, with the official inauguration of a new academic institution. The newly established facility has been named Coast Guard Biddaniketan, marking a notable expansion in community welfare and educational infrastructure by the maritime security agency.
The formal opening ceremony of the institution was led by Rear Admiral Md. Ziaul Haque, who serves as the Director General of the Bangladesh Coast Guard. His presence at the event underscored the official commitment of the organization toward educational development and community support in the local area.
Coast Guard Biddaniketan was established through the direct initiative of the Bangladesh Coast Guard in Ishanagar, Chattogram. The project has also been associated with the Coast Guard Family Welfare Association (CGFWA), reflecting a collaborative institutional approach toward supporting the families of service members and the surrounding community.
Detailing the core purpose behind the founding of the school, Director General Rear Admiral Md. Ziaul Haque delivered a significant statement regarding its mission. He stated that Coast Guard Biddaniketan was established specifically with the objective of creating advanced educational opportunities for the children of Bangladesh Coast Guard members as well as the local populace.
