A commotion and chair-throwing incident occurred between activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its student wing, Chhatra Dal, centering on speeches delivered at a founding anniversary rally. The event took place on September 1 in Durgapur, located in the Rajshahi district.
According to confirmed details regarding the incident, the disruption stemmed directly from tensions over who would address the gathering. Kamruzzaman Ainal explained that an unpleasant situation arose specifically because an opportunity to deliver a speech was not provided to certain individuals.
Amidst the chaos during the commemorative event, police personnel arrived at the scene. Law enforcement successfully intervened and brought the unfolding situation under control, restoring order to the venue of the BNP foundation anniversary rally.
Regarding the aftermath of the disturbance, Panchananda Sarkar stated that he had been on leave and returned to the police station at night. He mentioned hearing about the unpleasant incident that occurred at the assembly, confirmed that police brought the situation under control, and verified that no one was injured.
Meanwhile, Abdus Sabur Bullet addressed inquiries about the matter by stating that if such an event had indeed occurred, he would ask the relevant reporter to send the related photographs directly to his WhatsApp account.
