Top representatives from City Bank and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation, known as ITFC, convened for a high-level meeting at the primary head office of City Bank on the seventh day of September. The gathering brought together key leadership from both financial institutions to discuss strategic priorities and explore new avenues for enhancing cooperation in the critical sector of trade finance.

During the official discussions held at the bank's headquarters, the delegations from both City Bank and the ITFC formally reaffirmed their ongoing strategic partnership. This alliance underscores a shared commitment to fostering robust economic ties and supporting vital commercial activities through structured Islamic financial instruments.

A significant focal point of the meeting was the review of existing financial engagements between the two organizations. Currently, City Bank maintains an active four million US dollar Murabaha financing facility in active collaboration with the ITFC, which plays an essential role in facilitating trade operations.

In addition to the Murabaha arrangement, the discussions also touched upon a separate one million US dollar syndicated facility that forms part of the broader financial cooperation framework established between the institutions. Both sides evaluated the performance and impact of these funding mechanisms.

The high-level talks featured prominent participation from key officials representing both entities, including Engineer Adeeb Youssef Al-Ama and Masrur Arefin. Their presence highlighted the importance placed on this bilateral relationship by the leadership of both organizations.

Looking ahead, the meeting at City Bank's main office served to solidify mutual understandings and lay the groundwork for future collaborative efforts. The engagement reinforces the longstanding operational ties between City Bank, the ITFC, and the broader Islamic Development Bank group.
