CHT Development Board Distributes Certificates to 200 Trainees in Rangamati

The Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board has officially concluded a comprehensive training program with a certificate distribution ceremony held at the Maini Auditorium in Rangamati. The event marked the successful completion of specialized courses for participants from the three hill districts, highlighting the board's ongoing commitment to regional skill enhancement and human resource development across the area.

State Minister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin graced the occasion as the chief guest, addressing the gathering on the importance of unity, diversity, and holistic regional progress. Drawing a colorful parallel during his address, the State Minister stated, 'Each color of the rainbow is beautiful in its own way; but when these seven colors combine, an exquisitely beautiful rainbow is created. Just like that, all the communities living in the Chattogram Hill Tracts, they should all unite to form a rainbow nation and together enrich this hill region.' Furthermore, emphasizing that physical infrastructure alone is insufficient for societal advancement, he remarked, 'It is not possible to develop a nation with only infrastructural development.'

The ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of the Chattogram Hill Tracts Development Board, Major General (Retired) Anup Kumar Chakma. His leadership underscored the board's institutional focus on empowering the local population through targeted educational and technical initiatives designed to meet modern employment demands within the region and beyond.

During the formal proceedings, a total of 200 trainees from the three hill districts received their official certificates. These participants successfully completed rigorous training across several technical disciplines, including graphic design, web development, and audio-video editing, equipping them with valuable digital skills for the contemporary workforce.

In addition to the presentation of certificates for the technical courses, the ceremony featured supportive distributions aimed at community welfare and institutional capacity building. Sewing machines were distributed among local women to foster self-employment and economic independence, while various educational institutions across the area received multimedia equipment to enhance their teaching and learning environments.
