BUTEX Announces Date for 2026-27 BSc in Textile Engineering Admission Test
Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) has announced the admission test date for the 2026-27 academic session. The upcoming entrance examination will cover a total of 630 available seats across eleven distinct academic departments.

Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX), one of the prominent specialized higher education institutions in Bangladesh, has officially declared the schedule for its upcoming undergraduate entrance examinations. According to the administration's announcement, the admission test for the prestigious BSc in Textile Engineering program for the 2026-27 academic session is scheduled to take place on January 29 of next year.
The university currently operates a comprehensive academic structure comprising a total of 11 specialized departments. Through the forthcoming admission process, prospective students will compete for a total of 630 seats distributed across these various engineering and management disciplines offered by the institution.
A detailed breakdown of the seat capacity across the eleven departments reveals specific allocations for each specialized field of study. The Wet Process Engineering, Yarn Engineering, Fabric Engineering, Apparel Engineering, and Textile Engineering Management departments each maintain an identical allocation of 80 seats.
Further distribution includes 40 seats allocated to each of the following five programs: Textile Fashion and Design, Industrial and Production Engineering, Textile Machinery Design and Maintenance, Dyes and Chemicals Engineering, and Environmental Science and Engineering. Additionally, the Textile Materials Engineering department offers a total of 30 seats.
As prospective applicants prepare for the competitive entrance examination scheduled for January 29 of next year, it is noteworthy that the official results for this year's Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have not yet been published.
