Admission authorities at BUET have clarified that it is not possible to establish a definitive date for the entrance examinations before the publication of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination results. Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan addressed the timing constraint, stating that final dates cannot be set prior to the availability of these academic outcomes.
Despite the current lack of a final schedule, Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan noted that officials are scheduled to convene on the upcoming Wednesday to establish a preliminary decision moving forward. This upcoming meeting of the admission committee represents a vital step in mapping out the initial framework for the university's entrance process.
Elaborating on the reliance on academic results, Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan emphasized that the outcome of the HSC examinations holds significant importance within the BUET admission process. Prospective candidates are required to fulfill specific Grade Point Average (GPA) conditions in order to be granted the opportunity to submit their formal applications for admission.
Detailing the administrative coordination involved, Professor Dr. Md. Kamrul Hasan explained that the university collects the necessary results directly from the education boards. Echoing the cautious stance on the ongoing planning, Professor Dr. Naieb Md. Golam Zakaria confirmed that no formal decisions have been finalized thus far regarding the entrance tests.
