The 18th summit of the BRICS group has officially taken place in the capital city of New Delhi, India. Specifically, the high-level international meetings and associated events were hosted at the prominent Bharat Mandapam venue located within Pragati Maidan.
In connection with the 18th summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a special gala dinner to honor the visiting international dignitaries. More than twelve global leaders had gathered in New Delhi for these significant proceedings, according to the available registration details.
The distinguished gathering featured participation from a broad range of international figures. Among the prominent leaders who travelled to India for the diplomatic engagements were Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prabowo Subianto, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Vladimir Putin, Cyril Ramaphosa, Masoud Pezeshkian, and Anwar Ibrahim.
However, the guest list for the official dinner notably excluded a couple of key figures. Both Chinese President Xi Jinping and United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed were absent from the evening's dinner event.
The culinary arrangements for the leaders' dinner curated a specific dining experience. The menu prepared for the occasion was organized entirely with vegetarian dishes, reflecting traditional hospitality.
Further cultural elements accompanied the dinner proceedings in New Delhi. A total of 160 artists participated in the cultural presentations, which lasted between 20 and 25 minutes, with additional involvement noted from organizations such as the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Reuters, and ANI.
