On August 26, 2024, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organized a religious gathering featuring a doa and milad mahfil to observe the holy occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi. The event took place directly in front of the BNP central office located in Naya Paltan, Dhaka. Several prominent leaders from the organization participated in the observance alongside party members and supporters.

Among the notable figures present at the Naya Paltan gathering were Salahuddin Ahmed, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel, Abdus Salam Azad, and Md. Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie. The leaders gathered outside the central office as part of the party's program marking the auspicious Islamic observance of Eid-e-Miladunnabi.

Home Adviser Salahuddin Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the gathering regarding the current state of national affairs. In his speech, he reflected on the political transition following the 2024 student-people uprising. He stated that the Bangladesh we have received following the uprising requires taking the expectations of the people, the rule of law, and the overall law and order situation into consideration all together.

Addressing the state of law enforcement, the Home Adviser noted that the disciplined forces inherited from the previous administration were functioning within a chaotic environment. He explained that efforts are currently underway simultaneously to modernize the security forces, boost their morale, and inspire them to act genuinely as public servants.

Highlighting the operational success of the administration, the Home Adviser asserted that since taking office, there has not been a single incident where police failed to arrest those involved and bring them under the law immediately following the commission of a crime. He described this prompt response as the actual reality of the country's law and order situation under the current leadership.

Concluding his remarks at the BNP central office program, Home Adviser Salahuddin Ahmed offered an encouraging message to the gathered citizens and party members. Reaffirming the administration's commitment to the populace, he declared, God willing, the government stands firmly with the people.
