In an effort to overcome significant workforce shortages within the medical sector, authorities in Bangladesh have launched a major recruitment initiative. The latest administrative measures focus specifically on filling vacant positions ranging from the thirteenth to the sixteenth grade across various healthcare institutions operating nationwide.

This comprehensive employment drive forms a crucial part of a larger, previously announced strategic plan to recruit one hundred thousand health workers. The overarching goal of this initiative is to strengthen the country's medical infrastructure by ensuring that healthcare facilities are adequately staffed with the necessary personnel to deliver proper services to the public.

According to official directives issued by the Health Services Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the filling of these vacant posts must proceed on an urgent basis. The instructions specify that the recruitment process for these positions should strictly follow the existing Non-Medical Employee Recruitment Rules of 2018, utilizing both direct recruitment methods and promotions.

Furthermore, specific administrative guidelines have been established for healthcare facilities where the hiring process remains incomplete. Institutions where recruitment procedures have not been finalized by the tenth of February, 2026, have been formally instructed to obtain fresh clearance certificates for the newly vacant posts and subsequently issue new recruitment circulars.

To ensure strict monitoring and accountability throughout this large-scale hiring campaign, regular reporting mechanisms have also been put in place. Officials have mandated that all updated information regarding the progress of these recruitments must be submitted to the Directorate General of Health Services using a designated format by the fifth day of every month.
